League Bowling

The Keys Autumn Bowling Leagues will consist of 8 teams playing off in a round robin style tournament, seeing teams of five [5] face a different opponent team every week over a 8-week period. 2 games will be played nightly.

Team points will be accrued every week via a “Match Play System.” The team with the highest overall points after the 8-week tournament crowned the winners!

Match Play & Point Scoring

Every week, each bowler on a team is paired against a bowler on the other team. Whoever has the highest score for a particular game wins 1 point. At the same time, the team with the most total pins for a particular game will be awarded an additional ‘Bonus’ point.

There are a total of 6 points available per game. As we will be playing two games every tournament night, 12 points will be awarded between the two teams playing off every night.

Choosing Your team line ups / Bowler Positions

From week two onwards, at the beginning of the night, the team higher in the standings will submit their team bowling positions first. Then the other team decides who will bowl against whom. This is where strategy becomes important.

‍Please note: Once your team line-up has been chosen for the night, you are not be able to change the position of any bowler between games.

Absent Players / Substitute Players

Teams who cannot field 5 registered players have the option of inviting ‘fill-in players.’ Reception must be informed on any fill-in players before the start of the weekly tournament, as the opposition will also need to be informed.

If a team cannot field 5 players on a night, 1 point per absent player will be awarded to the other team per game.

Aggressive / Antisocial Behaviour

If at any stage tournament players display aggressive or anti-social behaviour to other participants or members of staff, the player and/or entire team will be disqualified from the competition at the staff discretion. Hopefully this will not be an occurrence, although it should be understood this behaviour will not be accepted.

BOWLING SCORE PROGRESSION PINS
